“Just as millions of white Americans looked the other way or acquiesced as hundreds of blacks were lynched in the deep South, there is the concerted effort to provoke a backlash against Obama’s candidacy and momentum. Talk to most black people in the last few days, they would tell you, “Well, we said it would happen. They haven’t physically shot him like they did the Rev.
